Tampa...

...well except for the fact that today is crazy warm, I'm back in Winterland. Crap, I wish I could've brought back some of that whether.

That would be an awesome power, to be able to control the weather... I wouldn't even think twice, it would be fall 24/7...

So... yes, I am back from Tampa, Florida. It was a crazy time! There is really a lot to say about these past 4 days. A lot took place. Just crazy... I can honestly say that I did make the best of my visit to Tampa.

I got there Thursday evening. The plane ride was pretty cool. It sucked I had to take a connecting flight out of Philly. It felt like I went through three seasons that day. It was crazy winterish in Toronto with the massive snowfall. It was damn cold... When I got out of the plane in Philly, it was Fall outside. It was a great relief to be away from the snow in Toronto. I had my leather jacket on so I was comfortable, neither warm or cold. One thing about Philly's airport, I saw like 5 mice running around in the terminal. I was like damn. Philly was a pretty dirty airport. Surprisingly, I did not jump at the site of mice. I thought I might of, but I just saw them and I was like whatever...

Three hours later, I landed in Tampa, and now the leather jacket was making me sweat. It was nice, paradise-like. It was the first time I saw palm trees in North America, well saw them and remember them for that matter. The last time I was in Florida was when I was like 2, and that was the first and only time I went to DisneyWorld.

The first thing I did was get together with the people I was bunking with, and I headed out with them for some grub. I was mad starving. Since it was Thanksgiving in the states, it was hard to find a place that was open. So the first thing we did was secure the booze for the night. We got it at a local Sunoco. So cool that you can buy booze from a gas station. Anyways, we then found a place called Ruby Tuesday's. This place had a selection of 32 different types of burgers. It was nuts. I had to order one of them... I forgot what it was called, but it was an awesome burger. It was then around 9ish, when we headed back. I had already started to drink. I have taken tonnes of pictures with my bro, and my cousins, so when I get them on a CD, I will have to post some of them. Well we did enough pre-drinking at the hotel to ensure we wouldn't spend so much at the club. It didn't matter, we still ended up spending a lot. Anyways, we went into a place called Amphitheatre. Now, by no means was this place a preimere type club from just looking at it. So we walked in, had a few shots, continued drinking. Eventually our group just scrambled. Eventually my cousin and I located one of my other cousins and we were said told to follow him. So we did. He took us to a bouncer, where the bouncer asked for my hand. I was like WTF??? He put another band on my hand and said, "Straight through Sir."

I was like WTF again??? So we entered an elevator, went up, and the doors opened to their VIP lounge. I was like damn! How did we get into VIP? At that point I didn't care. It was great. It was like a totally different bar. I guess posh and trendy would explain it. Regardless, it was a crazy time. The music was good, drinks were obviously good, all in all it was a good time. The next day everyone asked each other how we got into VIP... no one remembers.

When we closed out the bar, we headed out to walk back to the car and noticed there was mad traffic. Pure old school cars with big rims. It was nuts. On the way back, there was a small pizza shop. We had to indulge. I got a slice of pepperoni. This pizza was the greatest pizza I had ever had. It holds true that the mom and pop small businesses always have the greatest food. That pizza just went down. A person I met up with there threw his pizza, for an unforeseeable reason at another one of my friends, which riccoched and hit someone else that I knew, leaving pizza stains, and pepperoni hangin from there shirts. It was so jokes. I quickly gobbled mine up before he looked for something else to throw. Later on, we ran into a police blockade of cruisers. The officers were not near the cruisers, but that same guy who threw the pizzas, threw a nice slap at one of the cruisers. It was loud! We quickly grabbed him an ran into an alleyway, that surprisingly brought us to our cars. We escaped without anyone knowing.

It was a crazy night. We headed back to the hotel and kept drinking for quite awhile. I think we crashed when the sun was coming up, whatever time that is in Florida.

Two more nights to talk about, two more blogs to come...

To be continued...
