The Sunshine State...
That's right, I'm heading out on my own little trip. Cally went to Japan, and Ahilan went to Australia. I'm going to Florida, D'oh!Hahhaa...
It's a start I guess...
I'm going down because of a conference that is going to be held at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa Bay. It's a convention for Patels from our communities back in India. Not all Patels are related. It's like Smith, Black, or other common names here. I hope I explained that right. I guess you have to be brown to figure this out, or a Patel for that matter. I think it will be a good time, after all it is being held in Florida. I just hope no hurricanes swing by while I'm down there.
The trip couldn't have come at a better time. Things will finally cool off a for a few days after Wednesday night from school. A much needed break, this is.
I booked the ticket over a month ago too, but it slipped my mind to blog about it. Obviously there were some other major things to deal with the past month...
It should be good to get away from the everyday for at least a few days...
In prepartion, I thought of Ahilan. Why??? Because I'll be bring my little friend, the iPod with me to just melo and tune into some tracks the whole way to Florida. In anticipation, I ended up buying new headphones today. Traditional earbuds won't help on a plane. I was thinking about buying some noise-cancelling headphones, but those are just too expensive for my current budget. So I got some Sony "earmuff" headphones... In fact, I think they are similar to the ones Ahilan has from back in the Woburn days... Tested them out, they work really good...
And so, my little journey begins...Thursday morning that is... I'll be back Sunday night.

I remember I had those JVC ones, they were good but I busted them after excessive use, the wires just sorta died on me. Sounds like a good trip, considering all the pressure you've been under, it'll be a good break for you. I was going to ask you, I'm thinking of getting a PDA now instead of a new iPod, any advice on which ones? Email me your advice Surj!
